Let's start December with a celebration: Sunday 4th Il Rifugio will host the event Christmas Grooming Day.
From 2 pm to 5 pm, all the visitors will be able to see and learn how to groom the donkeys and to spend some time closer than usual to our lovely donkeys.

“International animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary is saddened to hear that once again donkeys appear to have been caught up in human conflict. The charity’s team in Kenya has learned of reports which indicate that donkeys are being sold to the Islamic militants Al Shabaab for carrying weapons, and fear that this could result in them being targeted by the Kenyan military.

October just ended with Il Rifugio's participation to TV show BauBoys (you can watch the episode here http://www.bauboys.tv/video/operazione-cielo-aperto: Dispsy's story was totally invented, but it's a chance to see our donkeys!) and a lovely event.
On Sunday 30th October, Il Rifugio hosted Halloween Grooming Day.

They are not as scary as zombies and vampires, but they don't have rivals in cuteness: we are talking about over 100 donkeys homed at Fondazione Il Rifugio degli Asinelli ONLUS.
On Sunday 30th October from 2 pm to 4.30 pm they will welcome visitors in via per Zubiena, 62 in Sala Biellese (BI) for the Halloween Grooming Day, an event organized by Il Rifugio to grant a deeper knowledges of donkeys and their daily care.
