Donkey welfare adviser, El Refugio del Burrito, Fuente de Piedra
Donkey welfare advisers are specialists in the field of donkey and mule welfare. They play a key front
line role in the work of The Donkey Sanctuary, responding to donkeys in need, growing and managing
a high-quality rehoming scheme, and acting as an ambassador for the charity at all times.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced equine professional to join the team
at Fuente de Piedra, in Andalucia. Covering a period of maternity leave, this role requires excellent
people skills, hands-on equine and field-based experience, together with a working knowledge of legal
practicalities and the application of animal welfare legislation. An excellent standard of spoken and
written Spanish is essential.
This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible until 31 December 2018, working 40
hours per week.

Communications & Marketing Coordinator, El Refugio del Burrito, Fuente de Piedra
It is a genuinely exciting time to be joining an organisation that is much loved by its supporters and the people who volunteer and work for The Donkey Sanctuary. We are looking for a Communications & Marketing Coordinator to maximise the public relevancy and social mobilisation towards the main problems that affect equines in Spain and also to look for funds for our main programmes from members, supporters, organizations and foundations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a communications expert which vocation is to make a better world for animals. The position requires at least three years of experience in similar positions, experience with professional video and photos and in content writing. Equally, it would be relevant experience in organising events, public relations and in the third sector. An excellent standard of spoken and written Spanish and English is essential.
The ideal candidate for this role will be energetic, analytical and empathetic. The energy will be needed to inspire and motivate your team to deliver a complex fundraising programme. Analytical skills will be critical so that large data sets can be reviewed and interpreted correctly. You will also need to have high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy which to build constructive relationships with colleagues, supporters and volunteers.
Duration of 6 months with the possibility of extension if you are the right candidate. Full-time contract, 40 hours a week Wednesday- Sunday (free days Monday & Tuesday)
