And the winners are...

One month after their birth we are proud to announce the names for the foals, drawn today and witnessed by our Director of European Operations, Mr Paul A. Svendsen. They are ... Ruby and Ryan.

Congratulations to R. Bowles (who named Ryan) and G. Burley (who named Ruby). You are now the unique sponsors of these two little miracles for a whole year!

We would like to express our further gratitude to all those of you who kindly participated and gave us a donation for a chance to name the foals and get a unique one year sponsorship for them.

Be assured all the money raised will be utilised for the benefit of our beloved donkeys and mules.

The birth of these foals has brought us great joy, as this is an unusual event at El Refugio del Burrito, having a strict non breeding policy. Apart from that, it has given us the opportunity to raise funds to help donkeys in Spain even further.

We invite you all to keep collaborating with our work and, of course, to come over and make a free visit to our Fuente de Piedra farm, where you will be able to meet these amazing foals and a whole host of lovely donkeys rescued all over Spain and other parts of Europe.
