Education

Here at El Refugio del Burrito, we firmly believe in education as the best prevention tool when fighting animal abandonment and mistreatment. According to this philosophy, a big part of our work is dedicated to promoting education for the respect and care of animals and nature in general. We encourage education for environmental protection from early ages.

You can find many different activities at our sanctuary that have a focus on education, such as:

- School visits that include talks and grooming sessions.

- Visit schools ourselves to provide information and talks, saving travelling costs for the schools.

- Guided Tours on request for groups where you can learn about donkeys and our work.

- On a different scope, qualified personnel from El Refugio del Burrito have taken part in conferences both in Spain and overseas.

- We provide Vet Universities or Colleges with publications on Donkey Welfare.

- Advice on how to care for your donkeys is always available from our Welfare and farm departments.
